Learn with Us
Last spring we were delighted to make our group teaching home at Rosendale Allotments with lessons for young people. The Community Building has proved a wonderful, safe and welcoming environment for our learners, with great acoustics, easy access to an outside green area for breaks, air-conditioning, toilet and kitchen facilities, and secure access.
Please email ed@musiciseasy.co.uk for all enquiries.

Edward Cubitt
Saxophones, Violin, Flute, Trombone, Guitar, Piano, etc.
Ed, creator of the Music is Easy method, grew up in South East Asia surrounded by Terry Pratchett books, a saxophone, and a love for games.
Since graduating from the London Centre of Contemporary Music in 2014, he has worked as a contemporary and jazz saxophonist across London and the UK, and more recently as a violinist.
His fascination with games, humour, and creativity led him to explore cognitive neuroscience and Flow State, shaping both his personal practice and teaching. This curiosity expanded his instrumental skills, leading to varied teaching, recording and performance opportunities - including radio-play of a track featuring Ed playing five different horn section instruments and the solo saxophone lead, in an instrumental Riddem played on David Rodigan's BBC1 Xtra show. For this he received £50 and a sandwich.
Building on his interest in learning through play, Ed has designed innovative educational projects that combine music, coding, and accessibility. Highlights include creating an Escape Room coding challenge for inclusive Minecraft workshops with MAMA.Codes, and designing / delivering music-based curricula in performance projects with organisations such as Newham Music, the Jazz Warriors International, and independently, with Arts Council funding and without.
His approaches often integrate neurodiverse inclusion techniques—such as live violin playing during sessions—which have shown powerful results in engagement, behaviour, and collaboration. Ed’s work has reached diverse audiences, from schools and community ensembles to national programmes and even the Houses of Parliament.
